Stockwell Lodge

A warm welcome awaits you at Stockwell Lodge Bed & Breakfast Braunton.
Braunton is reputedly the largest village in Britain yet retains a much smaller village feel.

For beach lovers we are close to Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe. Braunton Burrows boasts the largest sand dune system in the United Kingdom and is a site of special scientific interest.

The Tarka Trail is about 400 metres from the house and we have ample car parking should you wish to leave your car and walk for the day. If you don't want to do it the hard way, cycle hire is available in the village. Braunton has several good restaurants, pubs, banks, supermarkets and an off-licence.

For golf enthusiasts Saunton Golf Club is less than 3 miles away.

The historic town of Barnstaple is a 5 mile drive, or there is a frequent bus service from the village. There are both bus and railway stations in Barnstaple. Barnstaple also offers a theatre, cinema and on Fridays, the Pannier Market is full of local produce. This is well worth a visit as there are very few such markets left in the country.
